Creating/Removing Rules

In RoboBasket 2 you can create individual rules set for different folders. Click on the system tray icon of RoboBasket will open the setting window. Click on the "Add New Folder" button in the toolbar you can create a new folder tab. First you must select a folder which you want to apply the rules set. Then in the folder's tab you can use the rules editor to add rules and change folder's settings.

The rules settings section is where you tell RoboBasket how to organize your files. Rules consist of two main parts, its conditions and its actions. The conditions specify which files this rule should apply to and the actions specify what RoboBasket should do with the matching files.

To create a rule:

To edit a rule:

To duplicate an existing rule
Click on the down arrow button next to the "Add Rule" button. select the "Duplicate Rule From..." menu. Select the rule from the dialog even the rule is under the other folders. You can change the rule's setting after you create a copy. This can save you a lot of effort if you need to create a lot of rules with almost the same settings.

To remove a rule:
select the rule in the rules list and click the delete button. You can't remove the last rule in the list, for each folder you must have at least one rule.

To change the rules order:
the rules order influences which rule will match the file first. Only the first matched rule's actions will be apply to the file. Select the rule in the list and you can use the up and down button to change the order of the rules.
