Automatically copy files to dated folders

If you're like me, you like to use a plain text todo list file to plan and track every day's work. Backup the file and copy it the dated folders can make it easier to review your work progress in future. It's probably the wiser choice to have some software copy files automatically than performing that task manually.

RoboBasket is an an automatic file sorter which can automatically process your files based on the user configured set of rules. No programming or script skills needed.

Let's see how to automatically copy your files to dated folders in three easy steps

STEP 1: Add the folder

Add the folder which your file locates by clicking on the "Add New Folder" button. Click on the "Show Advanced Settings" and set up schedules for processing files.

If "full name" is "todo.txt" then "Copy to" "Work Documents" folder.
Click on the Action's "options" button and check the "sort into subfolder" option. insert "date.modified" attribute into the text box.
