Automatically sort images into folders based on EXIF date

If you're like me, you like to sort your digital photos into EXIF dated folders. It's probably the wiser choice to have some software sort your images automatically than performing that task manually.

RoboBasket is an automatic file sorter which can automatically sort your files based on the user configured set of rules.

Let's see how to automatically sort digital photos into EXIF dated folders in three easy steps

STEP 1: Add the folder

Add the folder which your images locates(e.g. your desktop or your downloads) by clicking on the "Add New Folder" button.

STEP 2: Set up rules

With the help of RoboBasket Rule Engine it's really easy to set up our file sorting rules.

Create rules with some conditions and actions "Move to" or "Copy to". Select the destination folder. Click on the Action's "Options" button and check the "sort into subfolder" option. Insert "photo.date" attributes into the text box. You can create some rules like this:
If "extension" is "jpg" then "Move to" "pictures" folder and sort into "photo.date" subfolder.

With this rule RoboBasket will read EXIF date information from your digital images and create subfolders named with the date then move them into proper folders.

STEP 3: Apply rules

You can click "Organize Folder" button to organize images instantly.

Click "Start Watching Folders" button, RoboBasket will minimize to your system tray and do its work silently in the background, automatically filing, organizing and cleaning.
