Automatically sort files into folders based on file name

If you're like me, you like to store your online shopping receipts in a folder named 'Receipts', your work-related items in a folder named 'Work Documents' and so on. But this degree of organization takes a lot of effort. It's probably the wiser choice to have some software sort files automatically than performing that task manually.

RoboBasket is an an automatic file sorter which can automatically sort your files based on the user configured set of rules.

Let's see how to automatically sort files based on file name in three easy steps

STEP 1: Add the folder

Add the folder which your files locates(e.g. your desktop or your downloads) by clicking on the "Add New Folder" button.

STEP 2: Set up rules

With the help of RoboBasket Rule Engine it's really easy to set up our file sorting rules.

Create rules with the condition "name" and action "Move to". You can create some rules like this:
If "name" contains "project" then "Move to" "Work Documents" folder.

move docs
Or
If "name" contains "order" then "Move to" "Receipts" folder
move orders

STEP 3: Apply rules

You can click "Organize Folder" button to organize files instantly.

Click "Start Watching Folders" button, RoboBasket will minimize to your system tray and do its work silently in the background, automatically filing, organizing and cleaning.
